Hornby Local Freight Set - this is a really good starter train set from Hornby, the Rolls-Royce of model trains. The set contains an 0-4-0T locomotive, two freight wagons and a 20-ton brake van, a track mat to lay out the track and an oval track. Over time this can be combined with more track into an ever-larger layout. If small person does not already own a train set, then this is a great present. If he does, then an extra train set will always be gratefully received as you can never have too many trains and they can all be combined into massive networks.
