1. Egg-stra Cute Easter Bunnies

How adorable are these Easter bunnies! As well as being cute, they’re really easy to make. Here’s how:

First, empty the yolk from your eggs. Next, paint the eggs in a color of your choice and draw on the bunny’s eyes, nose, and whiskers with a marker. Finally, bend wire around the top of the egg to form ears (it’s important to let an adult do this part).

Top Tip: If you don’t have wire, you could use twine or yarn to make the ears.

2. Bunny Treat Cone

These bunny treat cones are ideal to use as Easter party favors or Easter gifts for kids. Start by cutting a 7in x 7in square out of a piece of paper or card. Next, roll the square of card or paper into a cone shape. Use tape to fix the edge down so your cone shape holds.

Now, use the leftover card or paper to cut out some bunny ears and stick them to the top of the cone. Finally, draw on your bunny’s features and fill the cone with Easter treats – simple!

Top Tip: These treat cones are great for every occasion. Simply substitute the bunny ears for antlers to make a reindeer treat holder for Christmas.

3. Easter Welcome Sign

Crafted Easter welcome sign

Give your Easter visitors a warm and colorful welcome with this handmade sign. This super easy sign can be created with whatever craft supplies you have available. All you need is card, pens or paints, scissors, and twine.

To make your sign, start by cutting out a rectangle of card. Next, use pens, pencils, or paints to write the word ‘welcome’ on the rectangle. Now, kids can let their creativity run wild! Add embellishments, cut out Easter egg shapes, spring flowers, or anything else Easter-themed you can think of to complete your sign.

Just be sure you have space to punch two holes in the top to thread your twine through, ready to hang your sign.

Top Tip: If you’re hosting an Easter egg hunt, you could make more of these signs and add arrows and clues.

4. Adorable Animal Egg Holders

Easter chicks and lamb decorations

These adorable animal egg holders are so easy to make! First, let the kids decide which spring-themed animal they would like to make.

Next, take some card or paper and cut a rectangle with a thickness of around 1in and a length of around 4in, and form it into a ring shape before sticking down the ends. This will form the base of your egg holder, and your egg will sit inside.

Now, draw your chosen animal’s body onto the base, e.g., wings if you’re making a chick. Then, cut out a circle to form the face of your animal and draw on its features. Finally, stick the face onto your egg and sit the egg inside the holder.

Top Tip: If you’re using real eggs for this, it’s best to empty them of their yolk first. Alternatively, you could use chocolate eggs for an egg-stra Easter treat.

5. Easy Easter Cookies

Making cute Easter cookies is a breeze and so much fun for kids. Simply follow your favorite cookie recipe and roll out your dough. Next, decide what shapes you would like to make. You could let the kids freestyle and make their own Easter shapes or stick to ovals to create an Easter egg shape.

After your cookies have been baked and cooled, it’s time for the kids to get creative with the frosting!

Top Tip: If you don’t have an Easter bunny-shaped cookie cutter, try turning a gingerbread cookie cutter upside down. The gingerbread’s legs will form the bunny ears, and its arms provide the perfect space to create the bunny’s whiskers using icing.

6. Spring Flower Bouquet

A bouquet of spring flowers is the perfect centerpiece for your Easter table. The great news is that these flowers are made from paper, so they will last forever!

To get started, cut out some petal shapes from colored paper or let the kids color their own petal designs. Next, take a drinking straw and cover it with green paper (or color the paper straw with green paint).

Glue your petals onto the end of the straw individually to build up your chosen flower shape. Finally, arrange your completed flowers in a vase – no water needed!

Top Tip: You can create an unlimited number of flower shapes and designs using this method. Have fun experimenting with different shapes and sizes of paper petals to create your own unique blooms.
